Preschool-Kindergarten: Kathi AdamsTeaching is my passion! In my Sunday School class, we have fun! We act out our Bible lesson, make crafts, sing songs with the use of our instruments, and love the Lord! At Wesley, I am the Sunday School Superintendent. I co-chair Vacation Bible School, coordinate the children's Christmas program, and coordinate the Easter celebration for the children. I meet with the other Sunday School teachers to plan and implement various activities throughout the year for our students. I have lived in Seaford most of my life. I have been married to Glen for seventeen years, have two boys ages 14 and 9, and teach in our public school system. We have been members of Wesley United Methodist Church for nine years. I am extremely active in church, my community, my school, and in my sons' activities. I love the Lord and love serving Him!
st Grade-2nd Grade: Tammy SteeleMy name is Tammy Steele and I am currently teaching 2nd-5th graders by alternating Sundays with Karen Hamilton. That seems to be the category where the majority of our students fall. I also co-chair our VBS program with Kathi Adams. I have a passion for children's ministry and would love to see our Sunday School classes filled to overflowing! I believe in helping children learn by doing. We have fun acting out Bible stories, playing games, and taking turns reading from the Bible. I have been married to my husband Mike for seventeen years, and we have one daughter. We have been members of Wesley for seven years. Outside of church, I am a public school teacher. I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, and attending my daughter's numerous dance activities.
rd-5th Grade: Karen HamiltonMy name is Karen Hamilton and I am currently teaching 2nd-5th graders by alternating Sundays with Tammy Steele. We are waiting for our classes to fill! I am a life-long resident of Delaware. My beginnings are similar to a lot of locals, as the daughter of a DuPont employee. I come from a large family of four girls. I spent many summers building forts, playing hide and seek, working in the family garden, and having summer cook-outs. I have tried hard to preserve the sense of family that was so important to my parents. Today, I wear many hats. I am a wife to Frank, a mother to two grown children, Josh and Casey, a Realtor, and most importantly, a servant of God and His message. I feel humbled and blessed to teach Sunday School at Wesley United Methodist Church. I hope to make a difference, lead your children into a world of prayer, understanding and joy. When we gather in His name, all things are possible.
th-8th Grade: Betty HardingMy name is Betty Harding, and I am the Tweens (grades 6th-8th) Sunday School teacher here at Wesley United Methodist Church. My husband, Bobby, and I are retired and have grown children and beautiful grandchildren! My class is focused around the teachings of the Bible. We also always have an activity that relates to each lesson such as a play, game, or craft. I also teach Bible stories at Vacation Bible School. My lessons come to life as I dress up as the character from the Bible for that evening. I totally enjoy serving the Lord and working with "my kids." I welcome you to stop into our classroom and see some of the activities that we have completed. Our door is always open to everyone.
th-12th Grade: Linda TifftMy name is Linda Tifft, and I am the Sunday School teacher for students in grades 9-12. I am married to Bryant and have no children of our own. I have been Youth Leader at Wesley for about ten years. I lead the children to Youth Rally in Ocean City each year and provide opportunities for them to make money for that trip throughout the year. We pick up trash at Dover Downs, have bake sales at local horse shows, and have a pancake dinner/pie sale for out church the night before Thanksgiving. I have a love and a passion for teens. I want God to be real to them. In my time off, I enjoy biking, horseback riding, photography, and singing.
