Betel is a little mission church in Georgetown that holds services in a sparsely remodeled warehouse. Their minister is Rene Knight originally from the Dominican Republic. The congregation's goals include doing more community outreach, growing their congregation from 70 to 100 members and to become financially independent. The Hispanic Mission Taskforce, in which Wesley UMC participates, provides both financial and promotional support. The Task Force depends on continuous contributions from churches and individuals. Currently less than 15 of 108 churches in the District contribute regularly to the Task Force. The Task Force helps to raise money by conducting Chili Luncheons at various churches. Come out Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. to worship God with our Hispanic brothers and sisters in Christ! Dios te bendiga!
